The Renewable Energy Research Unit in the Saharan Environment affiliated with the renewable energy development center holds a new patent “The Solar Water Heater with Integrated Collector-Storage Unit for Building Integration”.

This prototype is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution that addresses the demand for hot water in households. It has the potential to be integrated into the façade of buildings.

This 60-litre solar water heater is designed for integration into buildings in Saharan environments.

It provides hot water for households during winter and enables indoor ventilation when the mirrors of its reflector are positioned horizontally

We cordially invite you to discover this innovation, developed by Mr. Harmim, a researcher at the Renewable Energy Research Unit in the Saharan Environment (CDER), at the National Innovation Fair. The event will take place from December 4th to 6th, 2018, at Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology (USTHB) in Beb Ezzouar, Algiers.
