The Director of CDER, Prof. Noureddine Yassaa, carried out a working visit at the level of the Renewable Energy Applied Research Unit (URAER) affiliated to the CDER, from 24 to 26/11/2018, in order to inquire about the progress of research projects in progress at the level of the Unit. Presentations were made to him in particular on the project to set up a 1 megawatt tower solar thermal power plant as well as a renewable energy technopole and its applications. Guidance has been given to further involve the Unit in the various solar energy deployment projects such as solar powered public lighting and the solarization of public buildings in the Ghardaïa region and surrounding wilayas.

On the sidelines of this visit, a meeting with the Wali of the Wilaya of Ghardaïa was organized to present the innovative solutions developed by the researchers of the Unit in renewable energies and their uses in the various sectors of activities with a view to integrate into Wilaya projects.
