The CDER organizes the International Conference on Wind Energy and its Applications in Algeria
The Renewable Energy Development Center announces the opening of the International Conference on Wind Energy and Its Applications in Algeria at the National Library of Algeria in El Hamma, Algiers on November 6 and 7, 2018.
The conference is an opportunity for the meeting between researchers, experts and industrialists in the field of wind energy in order to make the inventory and the technological development of this field, which will support the development and deployment of wind power in Algeria.
The official opening word for the event was given by Mr. Belaroussi Tahar representative of the Directorate General of Scientific Research and Technological Development in the presence of the representative of the National Library of Algeria Mr. Mohamed Teldji, Director of CDER Professor Noureddine Yassaa and the Director of the Wind Energy Division, Dr Guerri Ouahiba.
Three plenary lectures were given by national and international experts on the subject:
Dr Ouahiba Guerri: Wind Energy: State of play and perspectives,
Pr Saad Mekhilef: Power electronics in wind energy and its role in providing a sustainable energy supply,
Pr Christian Masson: Application of actuator surface concept in LES Simulation of the Near Wake of Wind Turbines.
During the afternoon, CDER researchers as well as research professors from other universities presented valuable oral communications.
