The CDER will organize in partnership with the Algerian Muslim Scouts the Olympics of the scouts in renewable energies
The Renewable Energy Development Center will organize, in partnership with the Algerian Muslim Scouts, the Scout Olympics in the field of renewable energies which will take place from November 31 to 02, 2018 at its headquarters in Bouzareah.
This competition will concern girls (ZAHARAT) around 10 years old and gifted in the field of renewable energies, coming from different Wilayas of the country
To ensure a smooth process, a meeting was held between the representative of the scouts and the organizers at the CDER, followed by another between the organizing committee and the scientific committee of the CDER.
The organizing committee is made up of the members of the External Relations department:
Dr. Bessah Rahma,
Mr. Merabet Hamza,
Miss Kadour Hakima,
Mr. Outis Nordine,
Mr. Guernouti Karim.
The scientific committee is made up of 6 researchers from the 5 CDER divisions:
Dr Semaoui Smail (President of the scientific committee): Photovoltaic Solar Division,
Dr Akbi Amine: Bioenergy and Environment Division,
Mr. Hazmoune Messaoud: Thermal and Solar Thermodynamics and Geothermal Division
Mr. Kherat Mohamed: Hydrogen Renewable Energy Division,
Mr. Ali Dali and Mr. Bouharchouche Abderrezak: Wind Turbine Division.
The competition, which will last 3 days at the CDER headquarters in Bouzareah, will include presentations as well as a visit of the CDER’s achievements by the aforementioned researchers, followed by 4 exams:
Drawing and diagramming of a project using renewable energies,
Written expression in Arabic describing the project,
Realization of the project using available means,
Presentation of the project by the candidates.
The winners will be honored by the Algerian Muslim Scouts in the presence of the General Scout Commander Mr. Mohamed Bouallag and the Director of the Renewable Energy Development Center, Professor Noureddine Yassaa.
