The Renewable Energy Development Center holds a new patent in the field of bioenergy and the Environment
The Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property has just granted to the Renewable Energy Development Center a patent of invention, in the field of bioenergy and Environment, entitled: "Autonomous device of biodiesel production functioning with renewable energies" The purpose of this invention is to produce biodiesel fuel by an autonomous device operating on renewable energies. The integration of renewable energies will allow the reduction of energy costs by using on the one hand photovoltaic solar for the circulation pump and agitation and the use of a biogas of renewable origin for the heating on the other hand.
This energy-autonomous device can be used in isolated sites, in military camps and in areas not supplied with electrical energy.
This device according to the invention will produce biodiesel from the recycling of residues such as used edible oils, vegetable water and fatty cakes, which will reduce, on the one hand, the expenses generated by the treatment of these residues by local authorities. and on the other hand the direct environmental and socio-economic nuisances caused by the accumulation of these residues. Currently, more than a hundred thousand tonnes of these residues are discharged into the environment, causing considerable pollution, in particular in the central region of Algeria, which concentrates approximately 78% of the oil mills of the country. Olive oil professionals currently have no choice but to release this waste into the environment. However, with regard to the decree which defines the limit values for discharges of industrial liquid effluents (decree n ° 06-141 of April 19, 2006), almost all oil mills in the Center region are in violation of the law.
In addition, biodiesel as an alternative biofuel is an ecological alternative to diesel, since it is much less polluting and reduces the greenhouse gases responsible for climate change.
