In collaboration with the National Institute for Industrial Properties (INAPI), the Center of Renewable Energies Development (CDER) organized a training day on the drafting of invention patents on Thursday October 11, 2018, at its Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES / CDER).

The day began with an opening statement from the Director of UDES and the Head of the Department of New Technologies at the Renewable Energy Service. The training day focused on:

• The presentation of the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI),

• General information on patents (Concept of patent and invention, utility of obtaining a patent, forms of patent protection, applicability of a patent and patent granting bodies),

• Procedure for filing a patent protection application (Documents constituting the file, international patent protection system and the role of technology and innovation support centers (CATI),

• How to write a patent application.
