PSTD CDER coordination meetings report
At the start of the 2018/2019 academic year, the EPST CDER management is organizing a series of coordination meetings in its various research structures according to the following program:

Coordination meeting with the directors of the research units, UDES, of September 13, 2018.
A coordination and organization meeting chaired by the CDER Director, in the presence of the Deputy Director, Unit Directors, UDES, URAER and URERMS and the two heads of the personnel and training and the budget and accounting departments, was held on Thursday September 13, 2018 at UDES.
This meeting focused on two components namely administrative and scientific research.
1. Administrative section
Several points were addressed in this section and concern, among others:
Recruitment
The call for candidates for the recruitment of researchers and support staff will be launched towards the end of September.
Management procedures
In order to standardize the management procedures, it was decided to draw up a common internal management procedures manual for the center and its three units grouping together all the procedures already established. These procedures relate to administrative, financial management, purchasing, etc..
Training
The CDER and its three units ensure the continuous training of its employees. In this context, contacts are in progress with the University of Continuing Education to benefit the body of support staff in search of retraining, improvement and upgrading programs.

Digitization commissions have already been created at the center and each unit level. A first report is drawn up comprising the actions carried out and the action plan. The Director of CDER asked the directors of units to speed up the digitization process which has become essential today. It concerns the digitization of the various administrative services in their management (administrative, human resources, archiving of documents, scientific documents, etc.).
Coordination between the different CDER digitization commissions is more than necessary to move this process forward. Coordination meetings are planned for the future.
2. Scientific Research Component
In this section relating to the research and technological development part, discussions focused on the following points:
Scientific equipment management platform
For rational and optimal use of scientific equipment, the Center has a platform for managing scientific equipment and laboratory instruments. Unit directors were asked to proceed with the creation of this platform.
Test benches platform
To make the experimental work carried out within the center and its three units visible, it was decided to create a test bench platform bringing together all the test benches and functional installations at the level of the center and the units.
Project management platform The operation of setting up the platform for managing socio-economic research projects using the DotProject tool is continuing within the Center and which will be extended to the three units. For this purpose, a person is appointed to support the project managers of the units to get familiar with the functionalities of the DotProject tool in order to proceed with the insertion of R&D projects.
Scientific animations
The Director of CDER asked to set up a scientific approach allowing research teams to meet more often to discuss the team’s research activities. He also insisted on the scientific animation at the level of the various structures of the EPST in the form of internal or external seminars. The internal seminars are led by EPST researchers. This allows for in-depth discussion on research themes of the team / Division, to strengthen knowledge on research areas and to advance on the valuation of work.
For external seminars, external experts may be invited to give lectures in specific areas.
Territorial reach
The Director of CDER called for a very strong involvement of researchers in the development of renewable energies at the local level through participation in programs launched for the solarization of schools and public buildings.
International cooperation
The Director of CDER calls on researchers to find even more furniture to participate actively in the various international cooperation programs in the field of renewable energies.
Also, coordination meetings with the directors of research divisions and team leaders for all of the EPST CDER structures are scheduled to give a strong boost to research activities at the start of the academic year and Social 2018/2019.
