The Renewable Energy Development Center, its research units (UDESn URAER and URERMS) and its commercial subsidiary (ER2) participated in the second edition of the exhibition of scientific research products organized by the DGRSDT at the Expositions Palace, Algiers from July 2-4, 2018.

The aim of the fair, which had as its slogan "scientific research at the service of the citizen", is to exhibit more than 650 scientific and technological products meeting the needs of the socio-economic sector and to attract investors to transform them into industrial projects.

The fair was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof Tahar Hadjar, accompanied by other Ministers such as the Minister of training and professional education Mr. Mohamed Mebarki, the Minister of Health , Population and Hospital Reform Mr. Mokhtar Hasbellaoui, the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications, Technology and Digital Ms. Houda-Imane Faraoun and the Wali of Algiers Mr. Abdelkader Zoukh.

After the official opening of the exhibition, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Wali of Algiers visited the stand of the Renewable Energy Development Center where they were welcomed by the Director of the Center Prof. Noureddine. Yassaa and the Director of the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES), Dr Belkacem Bouzidi and presented to them the latest CDER prototypes and their roles in the sustainable development of the Socio-economic sectors, the environment and the cities of future with lower energy consumption.

The CDER stand was very visited by visitors wishing to discover the latest prototypes and research in the field of renewable energies. For their part, the researchers and engineers of the Center were there to provide detailed explanations of their research.
