Procédés expérimentales sur la production de bioéthanol de deuxième génération à partir des sous-produits des palmiers dattiers

Abstract

The energy recovery of biomass waste from plant sources into bio fuel is part of an economic and environmental approach. Bioethanol (bio fuel) has long been recognized as the number one biofuel in the world and the market has continued to expand rapidly in recent years. The increasing use of bio ethanol as an alternative to fossil fuels has been a fact of life for several years in some countries. From another point of view in the Saharan regions, the date palm which constitutes the axis of agriculture, offers a wide range of agricultural by-products, traditionally used for domestic purposes. Estimating the tonnage of by-products that can be used in second-generation bio ethanol (date pedicels and dry palms), has shown that they are available with appreciable annual tonnages, in the order of 243 000 tonnes of leaflets dry palms and 15 603 tonnes for date pedicels. The study that was done on the production of bio ethanol by anaerobic fermentation using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, after steam cracking and acid hydrolysis of these by-products, gave us results showing that these by-products can be converted into bioethanol 75 ° in concentration with a yield of 10 ml per 50g of the substrate.
