The Renewable Energy Development Center participated in the International Scientific Forum on Renewable Energy Strategies to Achieve Sustainable Development - Study of the Experiences of Certain Countries, Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 April 2018 organized jointly with Lounissi Ali University -Blida 02.

The participation of the CDER in this event was marked by two conferences, the first being led by the Deputy Director of the CDER, in his opening speech Dr. Diaf gave a presentation on the research activities of the CDER and its contributions to support renewable energy projects and the energy transition in Algeria. The second speaker of the CDER was Dr. Khaled Imessad, Director of the Thermal and Thermodynamic Solar and Geothermal Division who gave a paper entitled "Feedback on some energy efficiency projects in the Algerian building".

After several conferences on renewable energies, a discussion took place between speakers and participants from several countries, illustrating the successful experiences of some Arab countries and focusing on the state of play in Algeria and the difficulties encountered to achieve success for energy transition.

For their part, speakers from the Renewable Energy Development Center responded to questions and concerns from stakeholders.

After the opening session, the Rector of the University Lounissi Ali Blida 02, Professor Khaled Ramoul, the President of the organizing committee Dr. Haouchine and a delegation accompanying them visited the stand of the CDER where they received clarifications on the latest research from the CDER, the practical side of the field and the important deposits that Algeria has.
