CDER participates in the 5th Edition of the African Investment and Trade Forum (AFIC) 2018
The Renewable Energy Development Center participated in the 5th edition of the Africa Investment and Trade Forum which was organized under the patronage of the Minister of Trade, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts and the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, from 31 March to 01 April 2018 at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers, under the slogan "Africa Technological Development".
The objective of the Forum is to set up a platform to facilitate commercial communication, bring businessmen together with project owners, investors, research project holders, build partnerships between African governments, society companies, and in particular to find a real investment opportunity in Algeria.
The forum recorded the participation of several African Ministers, Executive Leaders and Executives from Five Continents to discuss ways to develop activities and investment and trade in Africa and particularly in Algeria in renewable energy, food security, tourism, new technologies, export, bank financing.
The participation of the CDER has been through an exhibition stand dedicated especially to the latest research in solar thermal, geothermal, solar photovoltaic, wind farm deposits and the potential of energy recovery of waste in Algeria. The presentation of these renewable energy deposit maps aims to encourage investors to come to Algeria and carry out projects in the renewable energy sector.
For his part, the Director of the Solar Equipment Development Unit affiliated to the CDER, Dr. Belkacem Bouzidi gave a presentation on the role of EPST CDER in the development and support of renewable energy projects, energy potential of renewable origins in Algeria and answer questions from the speakers.
