The CDER participates in the 1st International Exhibition of Environment and Renewable Energies "SIEERA" 2018
From March 26 to 28, 2018, the Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) participated in the 1st international exhibition of the environment and renewable energies organized by the Ministry of the Environment and Renewable Energies jointly with SAFEX, under the High patronage of His Excellency President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, which took place at the Ahaggar Pavilion - Maritime Pines Exhibitions Hall.

The inauguration of the fair was made by the Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energies, Fatima Zahra Zerouati accompanied by a group of Ministers such as the Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni, the Minister of Water Resources, Hocine Necib , the Minister of Public Works, Abdelghani Zaalane, the Minister of Labor and Employment and Social Security, Mourad Zemali, the Wali of Algiers, Abdelkader Zoukh and the German Ambassador in Algiers, Michael Zenner because Germany is the guest of honor at this first edition of SIEERA 2018.

The international exhibition of the environment and renewable energies is an open to professionals and the general public to present the Algerian strategy of development of renewable energies and its ambitious program of renewable energies by the year 2030. It also aims to create a space for exchange between researchers and actors in the sustainable development sector, meet national and international leaders in the renewable and environmental sector, monitor the latest technological developments and use the latest techniques of recovery and waste management.

After the official opening, the delegation visited the stands to see the products presented, and passed by the CDER’s stand where they were greeted by its director, Professor Noureddine Yassaa, who gave clarifications on the activities carried out at the center. and focused on renewable energy deposits in Algeria and projects and prototypes already completed.

CDER researchers presented the Center’s activities in terms of finding sustainable solutions, supporting CDER in the national renewable energy program through scientific research activities, technological development and innovation for the benefit of the different sectors.

The show was an opportunity to learn about other countries’ experiences in renewable energy and to deal with environmental issues.

During this show, national and international speakers presented papers, addressing the current situation of renewable energies and the environment in Algeria, also the need to develop programs to fight environmental challenges and threats, for its part, the CDER was present at the conferences by several presentations:

The Director of the CDER, Professor Noureddine Yassaa who gave a lecture on the role of the CDER in the development and support of the national renewable energy program by 2030 and the influence of research to promote the renewable energy sector as well as the protection of the environment.

Dr. Razika KHARCHI presented the application software of the Algerian thermal regulation RETA, designed by the Energy Efficiency Applied to the Building team.

Mr. Abdelkrim Chenak, researcher at the solar thermal and geothermal division of the CDER, also participated in a panel of experts with GIZ on thermal regulation in Algeria.

At the end of the event the Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energies Fatima Zahra Zerouati expressed her happiness for the success of the 1st International Exhibition of Environment and Renewable Energies "SIEERA" in which attended more than 10 countries such as Germany, Finland, Turkey, France, China and others through a hundred exhibitors, thousands of trade visitors and extensive media coverage.
