CDER at the heart of eco-citizenship

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mr. Tahar Hadjar accompanied by Tipasa’s wali, Moussa Ghellai, inaugurated an ecological educational space at the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES) affiliated to the Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) in the presence of the General Director of the Scientific Research and Technological Development Directorate Hafid Aourag, the Director of EPST CDER, Noureddine Yassaa and the Director of the UDES Belkacem Bouzidi.

This educational space, made using recycled materials, aims to transmit to students and also to the general public the scientific and technical culture in the different themes of renewable energies and energy savings and to awareness of the notion of eco-citizenship and sustainable development.

The space works 100% with solar energy for its electrification, for heating water and for drip irrigation of its garden.

This space was set up recognizing that the economic transition towards a sober model in resource and carbon is not a purely technical transition but rather a socio-technical one, it is important to invest in the human resource of tomorrow by inculcating the fundamentals of sustainable development, preservation of resources, protection of the environment and eco-citizenship.

The Director of EPST CDER took the opportunity of this visit to present to the delegation the technological platforms of the UDES and the prototypes developed by the researchers of the unit.
