Software for the evaluation of the energy injected into the network according to the measured wind speeds
As part of its research and development activities, the Wind Energy division’s Deposits team has developed a software with a graphical interface. This software, based on Matlab, allows the evaluation of the energy injected into the grid by a wind turbine (or a wind farm) according to the wind speeds measured.
The necessary data are the power curve of the wind turbine (given by the manufacturer) as well as the wind speeds measured at the height of the nacelle. The software evaluates the annual energy supplied by the wind farm (GWh), the coefficient of utilization of the wind turbines (Capacity factor, in%) as well as the number of hours of operation of the wind turbines (in hours). The calculation of the cost of the wind kilowatt-hour (DA / h) can also be integrated.
This software was developed by Mrs. S. Kheder Haddouche, Mr. A. Dali and Dr. S. M. Boudia.
