Second International Symposium on Renewable Hydrogen on November 26 and 27, 2017, Mercure Hotel, Bab-Ezzouar, Algiers

With the advent of fuel cells and the demands of clean and sustainable energy, the interest in hydrogen as an energy carrier has become a reality. This interest was reaffirmed with the energy transition and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which gave impetus to the notion of carbon neutrality.
In addition, the massive use of renewable energies generates management problems resulting from their intermittent nature. This causes a great fluctuation in energy production and an imbalance between supply and demand. In order to solve this intermittent problem, the use of hydrogen as a storage way and as an intermediate product has become essential.
What are the potentials and limits of development of hydrogen? What is its place in the energy mix? What advances in R & D and what would be the stakes of its emergence?
In this context and in order to shed light on these issues, the Renewable Energy Development Center organizes, under the high sponsorship of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the support of the National Commission of UNESCO and of the International Hydrogen Energy Association (IAHE) the Second International Symposium on Renewable Hydrogen (ISSH2-2017), at the Mercure Hotel, Bab-Ezzouar in Algiers, on 26 and 27 November 2017.
This Symposium, which will bring together the main players active in the field, is an ideal opportunity to discuss the production technologies, storage and use of hydrogen and alternative fuels in a context of sustainable development and energy transition. ISSH2 will also be an opportunity to learn about the latest advances in the field.
ISSH2 relies on the experience and expertise of eminent national and international experts to come out at the end of this symposium with solutions, recommendations and actions to be undertaken to strengthen the development of hydrogen as a renewable energy vector.
