Participation of the CDER at the International Exhibition of Renewable Energies, Clean Energies and Sustainable Development (ERA) from 23 to 25 October 2017 in Oran

The Renewable Energies Development Center participated in the 8th edition of the International Exhibition of Renewable Energies, Clean Energies and Sustainable Development organized by the MYRIADE Communication Agency, which took place at the Mohamed BENHAMED Convention Center in Oran from 23 to 25 October 2017.

The official inauguration was given by the Minister of Energy, Mr. Mustapha GUITOUNI in the presence of the Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Mrs. Fatima Zohra ZEROUATI, the Wali of Oran, Mr. Mouloud CHERIFI and the President of the FCE, Mr. Ali HADDAD.

More than 60 exhibitors from state or private companies, national and foreign, research centers and associations took part in this event by presenting their products and in order to find new developments in the fields of clean and renewable energies and sustainable development and new partners.

The Renewable Energy Development Center was present with an exhibition stand consisting of:
- A solar map of the national territory,
- A map of wind farm of Algeria,
- A map of Algerian geothermal field,
- An annual bioenergy deposit map in Algeria,
- An application called ReDz developed by the researchers of the CDER which allows to estimate the annual average of the global irradiation received on a horizontal surface from the annual average of the duration of insolation with a simple click on a tablet or a smartphone
- A software developed by the researchers of the center that allows the application of the Algerian Thermal Regulation (RETA), and which can be used by architects and developers to minimize energy losses in the building,
- A prototype wastewater treatment using solar radiation (solar photoreactor).

Conferences were held during the fair dealing with different themes concerning energy, the environment and sustainable development. The Renewable Energy Development Center was represented by a conference presented by Mr. Madjid CHIKH, researcher at the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES) entitled "Algeria’s Renewable Energy Development Strategy, Achievements and Prospects".

The event was an opportunity for students and professionals to get closer to companies and research institutions and to see more of their activities and the possibility of internships, recruitments and partnerships.
