The EPST CDER in the National Production Classification of Industrial Property

The DGRSDT has just published the 5th Edition of the Patent compendium - 2015, in which an analysis and a comparative study of the national patent activity during the last five consecutive years: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 has been introduced.
In light of these patent-production data of national inventors and researchers, it is necessary to highlight certain characteristics of the national production in the field of industrial property -2015:
- Production - Patents in Higher Education Institutions and Research Centers, Units and Institutes in all sectors combined (MESRS & outside MESRS) registered an increase in 2015.
- The activity - Patents of national researchers amounts to 200 Patents as of December 31, 2015. In 2014, it corresponded to 174 Patents. While it bordered on 134 Patents as of December 1, 2013. In 2015, the increase in the number of deposits of Higher Education Institutions was the driving force behind the overall increase in the number of Patents of National Researchers, with 21 patents filed More than in the year 2014.
- The 200 patents of national inventors are distributed as follows:
91 patents: from 21 higher education institutions (45.5% of the total number of patents).
80 patents: from the 10 research centers and units in the research sector (40% of the total number of patents).
26 patents: belonging to research entities outside MESRS, and
Mainly CRD / SAIDAL (13% of the total number of patents).
3 Patents: belonging to the National Research and Technological Development Agency (ANVREDET) (1.5% of the total number of patents).
- Classification of research organizations and entities with the production of patents:
Renewable Energies Development Center (CDER) and its research units: Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES) and Renewable Energy Research Unit in the Saharan Medium (UREMRS) ranks first in the ranking of research centers and units Of the MESRS with a total of 45 patents.
University of Blida 1 ranks first in the ranking of higher education institutions with 16 patents.
Moreover, in terms of scientific production indexed in the Scopus database for the year 2016, the CDER represents a share of 35% of the total national production of the MESRS and non-MESRS research centers.
