For its 9th consecutive year the national radio channel 3 has launched the citizen operation "the waste collectors of the sea" in coordination with the association Recif. This operation, which has become traditional, aims to mobilize volunteers and nature lovers to clean beaches.

The kick-off was given by the Minister of the Environment and Renewable Energies, Mrs Fatma-Zohra Zerouati, at the Tamenfoust beach. But the operation took place on the entire Algerian coast, which encompasses the 14 coastal Wilayas. By 2014, a record number of participants had been registered, ie nearly 32,000 volunteers.

The CDER participated in this operation by supplying the plateau of chain 3 and the satellite antenna of the TDA with photovoltaic solar energy to ensure the transmission of the event from the beach of Tamenfoust 100% live by Clean energy as well as facilitating debates on issues of renewable energy, the environment and sustainable development broadcast directly via the channel’s antenna.
