The Research Unit for Renewable Energies in the Saharan Medium in Adrar attached to the CDER organized on Saturday, April 8, an open day on its research products in the field of solar energy (mini-solar photovoltaic plant of 30 KWatts ), Wind power (New Wind Turbine H-Darrieus-type Vertical Axis with direct attack of 2.5 kW) and bioenergy (a biodiesel production device based on used oils).

In the field of the use of renewable energies on farms, an agricultural greenhouse connected to a photovoltaic pumping system for irrigation to cover water requirements for greenhouse crops was also presented.

On this occasion, crops of cultivated vegetables (salad, beetroot, zucchini, etc.) having given very good yields and were donated to a Koranic school in Adrar.
