The Renewabne Energy Development Center (CDER) participated in the 7th national camp organized by the Algerian Scouts entitled "El ACHBEl and El ZAHRAA" on 25 March 2017 in Sidi-Fredj, Algiers. This event led to the organization of several workshops on renewable energies and waste recycling, which gave the children an opportunity to see some applications using renewable energies.

The workshop was organized in two parts: the first part focused on a theoretical presentation of the different sources of these energies and their participation in the field of environmental protection and the mitigation of global warming.

In the second part, the practical presentation was dedicated to the functioning of the different renewable energies and their advantages, based on a CDER education system regrouping the different energies:

• Photovoltaic solar energy.
• Wind energy.
• Renewable hydrogen.

At the end of this event, the representative of the Algerian Scouts returned to the positive impact of this kind of workshops on the pupils of the Algerian Scouts.
