The Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) and The German Cooperation Agency (CDER) organized jointly on 06 December 2016, a workshop on the theme of Energy Efficiency in the Industry, at the UDES / CDER, Bousmail.

In an energy transition dynamic initiated by Algeria, this meeting aimed the sentitizing of Algerian industrialists on the rationalization of energy consumption and to make known the new technologies for the optimizing of energy use in industrial production.

The official opening was given by Dr. Said Diaf, Assistant Director of the CDER, followed by a word of welcome given by Dr. Belkacem Bouzidi, Director of UDES.

During this day, plenary conferences were given by Algerian experts on regulatory, technical and financial aspects related to the promotion of energy efficiency in Algeria. The afternoon was devoted to workshops animated by German experts who presented the German experience in the field of companies energetic management.

The meeting, which observed the participation of several Algerian companies, allowed the Algerian industrialists to discuss with the German experts the problems encountered in the energy management. The workshop was an opportunity to sensitize these industrialists on the importance of industrial audit, which is an energy diagnosis to track energy wastage, but also to optimize the production processes.
