CDER - Condor: launching of studies for the realisation of a 1MWc PV power plant at Boughezoul with the support of CTCN
The Renewable Energy Development Center CDER, with the national private Group Condor, organized the 05 and 06 September at the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES/CDER) at Bou-Ismail, a workshop dedicated to the technical side of realisation project of a 1 Mwc micro PV Plant at the edga of the new town of Boughzoul. The workshop is the result of a coatching offer proposed by CTCN (Climate Technology Centre Network) a body for technology transfer and developping countries capacity strengthening, under the hostage of the UN Frame-Convention on Climate change.
According to the CDER’s Director, Professor Noureddine Yassaa, the aim behing the workshop in question is to help Algeria to capitalize the necessary expertise for the emergence of a strong network of renewable through specialized businesses, with integrating local competencies within the entire study and conception process as well
For ECN (Energy research Centre of the Netherlands) of which two experts have directed the workshop, Algeria possesses a trumendous potential in term of renewable energy especially the solar one. The development of the solar sector could open and enlarge a bright future for a sustainable technology transfer important to bring into reality the national programme for renewable energy with an honorable integration rate.
Concerning the vision of the Group Condor, the importance of that project comes from the fact that the renewable market is highly promising, when we see that there is no local company capable of realising in EPC an important PV plant.
CDER researchers were the biggest participants to the workshop, addind technical staff from Group Condor, as well as some guests representing implied national bodies : CREG, SDC and SKTM.
