On the occasion of the 2016 summer solstice, the Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) organised a ceremony for the promotion of scientific and industrial production, Tuesday JUne 21st, 2016 at its Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES) at Bou Ismail. THe ceremony was the opportunity, as traditionnally made, to honor the best scientific productions and acheivements locally speaking.

In his openng word, Professor Sahraoui, representing Professor Hafid Aourag General Director of Scientific Research and Technological Development, highlighted the undermeaning of "change" that the summer soltice vehicles in renewable energies field. Prorfessor Sahraoui announced in his speech the emergence of a new thinking around the new "Strategic" centers in scientific research.

During this day, the Director of CDER, Professor Noureddine Yassaa presented the new strategic action plan of the center by 2020 aiming to follow up the national programme for renewable energy development and energy efficiency.

The price of the 2016 summer solstice of the Renewable Energy Newsletter was awarded to Mr. Bensalam Salah-Eddine of the Renewable Energy Development Center for his qualitative contribution in the Renewable Energy Newsletter published by the center.

The prize of the scientific production quality was awarded to Mr. Omar Behar, and that for his numerous publications during the last five years, and moreover for the citation of its articles in scientific databases.

The prize of the national industrial production was awarded to Entreprise Nationale des Industries Électroniques ENIE. The company put on service, in 2015, its first PV pannels encapsulation unit.

Other prizes were also given for research teams of the CDER and all its units in order to encourage innovative achievements and practical applications of renewable energy. The selected realisations are:

Production system of biodiesel of the "Bioconversion" team of the Renewable Energy Research Unit in Saharan Environment (URERMS-Adrar)

Two phases solar battery loader of the "Hybrid energy systems" team of the Renewable Energy Applied Research Unit (URAER-Ghardaia)

WHISPER 200 wind pale of the "Simulation of fluid dynamic applied to wind turbines" team of the Renewable Energy Devlopment Center (CDER-Bouzaréah)

Adsorption refrigeration system of the "Cooling" team of the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES-Tipaza)

CDER has also inaugurated, during this day, a bioclimatic house performed at its unit (UDES) in Bou Ismail.
