Project: Conception and realization of a card guaranteeing the Maximal Power Point Tracking MPPT.
Abstract:
The functioning of a photovoltaic module / generator is linear and strongly dependent on working conditions. For a given condition, there is a single point at the level of which the power available on its exit is maximal. This point varies in time. To ensure an optimal functioning, the use of a MPPT, the pursuit of the point of maximal power, is more than a necessity.
The function MPPT is assured by an algorithm MPPT implemented on a card of command which will adjust the duty cycle of a converter DC-DC to offer the function of variator of impedance. Several algorithm MPPT and topology for the DC-DC are proposed in the literature. This project aims at conceiving and realizing an electronic board ensuring the Point of Maximal Power (control card and shopper card DC-DC).
Objectives:
- Improve the know-how and the theoretical and technical skills of the team members;
- Exploit the knowledge already acquired for the design and the realization of an operational equipment;
- Develop a local product according to our requirements which will certainly be cheaper;
- Contribute to the training and the mentoring of students and PhD student on a practical subject endowed with big importance in the field of PV energy;
- Develop an experimental bench test which can be used for other applications.
