Project: Storage of solar photovoltaic power.

Abstract:
The project consists on settling scientific, technical and technological studies, particularly axed on experimentation to determine the performance of batteries for solar use in accordance with external and internal parameters and so help in the choice of the batteries and to develop new concepts of batteries to be used in photovoltaic systems.

Objectives:

  • Characterization of batteries for solar use: installation of a bench test for characterizing the electrochemical accumulators.
  • Identification of parameters influencing the dynamic behavior of an electrochemical accumulator to know the voltage, the temperature, the state of load and discharge as well as the determination of the points of functioning, high and low (for the regulation).
  • Study of the ageing of batteries. 
  • Study of the stratification and the sulfatation. 
  • Modelling of the systems of storage in a PV system to allow not only the choice of the technologies of storage but also the sizing of these systems. 
  • Study of the behavior of the real on-site battery and development of methods of optimization of a system of storage of PV energy.
  • Technico-economic study of the storage system in the PV systems.
