Project: The use of Renewable Hydrogen in the Algerian Industrial

Project: The use of Renewable Hydrogen in the Algerian Industrial Sector: Internal Combustion Engines and gas Burners.

Abstract:

The use of hydrogen as a renewable energy can be an effective way to sustain our energy resources, while preserving our planet from pollution. The use of the hydrogen-enriched fuel is an effective strategy for introducing renewable hydrogen into the existing energy systems, and this project tends to concretize this strategy. This project aims to set up an experimental platform for testing gas burners and internal combustion engines fuelled renewable hydrogen as fuel additive to natural gas and other fossil fuels.

Objectives:

- Evaluate the effect of conventional fuel enrichment by renewable hydrogen on the performance and emissions of gas burners and internal combustion engines,

- Optimize and control the operating of these two systems fueled hybrid fuel containing hydrogen,

- Develop new hydrogen-related combustion technologies applied to gas burners and internal combustion engines,

- Establish the economic benefits of converting and using mixed fuels containing hydrogen,

- Establish the technological and economic feasibility of such systems applied to the industrial sector.
