Project: Study of the thermochemical hybrid cycles for the production of hydrogen

Abstract:
In the present work, we limit ourselves to the case of the production of hydrogen that assures a sustainable production ; namely its production by using the renewable energies more particularly the solar energy. Among the processes which attract a lot of interest, we have the hybrid processes which call on to the thermochemical cycles and to electrolysis to produce of hydrogen. Various configurations will be studied. This concerns as well the solar captation and its transformation into heat and in electrical energy as the thermochemical cycles as the electrolysis of the aqueous solution produced by the thermochemical cycles .

Objectives:
The objective of this work is the evaluation of the potential and the techno-economic study of the feasability of the development in Algeria, of a hybrid process of hydrogen production with thermochemical cycles and electrolysis using solar power.
