Project: Study and analysis of Anaerobic digestion processes for the production of biogas from fermentable organic wastes
Abstract:
The anaerobic digestion of fermentable substrate (methanation), under anaerobic conditions leads to biogas generation, which, after purification, could be used for biofuel, electricity and/or heat production. In addition of its important energy potential, methanation has a considerable environmental role, on one hand for the sustainable character of the produced energy, and on the other hand, for the fact that the biomass is often composed of wastes resulted from different sectors.
Objectives:
- Set tools and methods to optimize and control the methanation process under different conditions
- Help in the selection, the design and the characterisation of large scale installations
