Project: Bioelectricity via the biomass: Microbian Fuel Cell (MFC) & Plant-Microbian Fuel Cell (P-MFC)
Abstract:
The Microbian Fuel Cell allows to transform directly chemical energy contained in organic components (biomass) into electrical energy.
Micro-organisms form a biofilm by colonizing of conductor surfaces and act as an oxydation catalyst responsible of electron production.
Electrons are collected through an anode and a cathode to produce clean electricity
Objectives:
- Current plants generation Feasibility,
- The cell functioning parameters study,
- Cells design study,
- Potential assessment, implementation of the plant cell and plan for wider application
