The International Symposium on energy and water challenges and trends in Africa has been organized by Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (including climate change) PAUWES in Tlemcen, the 6th and 7th May 2015.
This symposium supported by the African Union, the United Nations Unievrsity, the GIZ and DAAD gathered experts from unievrsities and Algerian, African and German research centers and Master students at the PAUWES.

Among the proposed recommendations by the Director of the CDER, is to allow to Master students of the PAUWES to benefit from experimentation plateforms of the CDER in Algiers, Bousmail, Ghardaia and Adrar in order to fulfill theorical knowledges gained accross their studies through on field pracitcal training.
He has also proposed to mentorship some students by the CDER’s researchers who have strong competences and capacities in renewable energy.
The Director of the CDER get the CDER involved in implementing an African network for competences in renewable energy and climate change able to motivate scientific and technical exchange and cooperation between the African scientists in the very strategic fields for Africa.
