Year 2013: Balance and perspectives

The Renewable Energies Development Center undertook, in 2013, actions to consolidate research and development activities in order to assert the cohesion of the EPST CDER.
A research development plan for 2020 was settled emphacizing on the engineering and innovation. Many projects, corvering all intervention fields of the EPST, was developped and proposed, this year, by our researchers withing this development plan. The gathering of these projects will allow, surely, exchanges and the emergence of research and innovation network into the center and all its units.
These actions could not be effective and could not bring results without relevant human staff able to take on the ambition of the center. In that effect, we have implemented, in 2013, an ambitious development plan for human resoruces. The mile stone of this plan was the strengthening of the researchers staff by the recruitment of more than 100 researchers in the center and its units. Thus, the center’s workforce pssed to 770 employees among them 380 researcher.
An important training effort for reserachers and reserach support staff was made through freighn development sessions in world class laboratories.
Reserach and development works have been crowned, in 2013, with the publication of more than 110 paper, about 300 national and international communications, 5 patents, 11 doctoral defenses and 08 universitary accriditation defenses. Furthermore, many bench test have been realzied and the first « Algerian Solar Atlas » was released.
Finally, a new organization, structure and dispatching of the EPST CDER will be implemented in 2014 to make our reserach activities more dynamic and to feat at the best issues of our socio-economic partners.
