The CDER at the National Fair for Innovation

The Algerian National Institute For Industrial Property (L’INAPI) organized the 4th edition on the National Fair for Innovation from 7th to 9th December 2014 at the Algiers Exhibition Center (Safex), Pins Maritimes.

The event, a real window for different innovations, saw the participation of more than 30 inventors, 24 center for research and support for technology and innovation, and many other support institutions for business and innovation. Around thirty inventors presented their prototypes on the occasion of the celebration of the 18th National Day of Innovation. The CDER also particpated in this fair with three inventions, namely : an electric car, a module of programmable load and a device of production of hot water of hydrogen and oxygen.

The main purpose of this fair is to let potential investors know the best innovation projects and to promote the transfer of academical research to an industrial and economic reality.

The 4th edition if the National Fair for Innovation was inaugurated by the General Secretary of the ministery af industry and mines, Mrs. Rabéa Kherfi, in presence of directors followed by a visit of the different stands. During the inauguration ceremony Mrs. Kherfi said that the Ministery is working on protecting the new ideas by, the issue of patents, while creating a bridge between inventors and businesses for the realization of innovative projects.

The necessity of supporting the young inventors to meet the challenge of the development of the national economy and get ready for the after oil, she announced.

During the three days of the fair, conferences were led and presented by experts of various sectors carrying in particular " the innovation and its relation with the sector of industry and the scientific research ".

In the term of the fair, four prizes were awarded to the best inventions to encourage the participating inventors. The first prize was attributed to the young researcher Ahmed Kadri of the Scientific and technical Research center on the dry regions ( CRSTRA) of Biskra, for the realization of a dates bunches harvester, to fill the lack of qualified workforce. The second price was given to Mr Tebib El Hadi, teacher in the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Constantine, for the realization of a reversible wheel which could be used as accessory adaptable to the wheels of a wheelchair for handicapped persons.

The third price was attributed to Dhaoun Redouane who invented sensors which allows heavy-duty vehicles to avoid road trafic accidents. In the same topic, the incentive price was attributed to the engineer Oussama Touabaa researcher at the Unit for Renewable Energy Research in Saharan Region (URERMS) of Adrar, who invented a mini car producing energy from a PV pannel which automatically follows sun. Besides, the price of the best woman’s invention for this year was attributedto Mrs Abbad Malika, whereas the priceof the youngest inventor is given to Abbad Redouane.

The 4th national for innovation was an ideal platform to bind contacts between the young inventors and the companies of supports to the innovation.
