Doctor Said Diaf, the new Deputy Director of the Renewable Energies Development Center
In presence of the Renewable Energies Development Center’s officials, CDER, that the Center’s Director, Professor Noureddine Yassaa, proceeded, Sunday, November 23rd, 2014, for the appointment of Doctor Said Diaf as the Deputy Director of the EPST CDER with a ministerial order of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The deputy director assits the director in scientific activities and technological development, and coordinates technical departments works.
Scientific pathway of Dr DIAF
Dr Said DIAF is the Deputy Director of the EPST Renewable Energies Development Center since November 2014. He is also researcher within the Wind Energy Department.
He is a holder of a Doctorate in sciences in Electronics obtained at the Polytechnic National School of Algiers, El Harrach ( ENP) in 2009 and of the university authorization obtained at the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediène, Algiers ( USTHB). A part of his thesis research was made in the SPE Laboratory - mixed Unit of Research CNRS 6134(NATIONAL CENTER FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH 6134), Ajaccio, in France.
His career began in 1993 as main Engineer where he spent six years in this job before being promoted to Research Associate in 1998 and then to Researcher in 2003. He obtained, in 2009, the diploma of doctorate which allowed him to be promoted to Research Scholar class B. In 2013, he was promoted to Research Scholar class A.
He also led the « Hybrid System » research team of the Wind Energy Department from 2008 to 2014 and was a member of the Educational committee of the Doctoral School "Renewable Energies". He is an elected memeber of the Scientific Committee of the EPST CDER since 2009 and also memeber of the Scientific Committee of the Renewable Energies Journal of the CDER.
SAID DIAF is author and co-author of 20 scientific publications in many international specialized revues and of several international communication.
His research works cover solar PV energy and wind energy especially hybrid multi-sources systems.
