Third international seminar on new and renewable energies at the URAER, CDER, Ghardaïa
The event showed a large participation of algerian researchers, national experts, industrials, and other fiels intersted by renewable energies in Algeria.
The objective of the SIENR’14 is to point the advances of research works in renewable energies, particulary the applications in southern region of Algeria. This big weeting comes just after the success of the two firsts editions of 2010 and 2012. The SIENR aims to be a tradition of exchange researchers from different laboratories on renewable energies, and insustrials working in that field.
The official openning word of the SIENR’14 was made by the Director of the URAER Dr Djafer Djelloul in the presence of representative of the wali of Ghardaia, and Pr . Yassaa Noureddine the Director of the EPST CDER.
The first plenary session was moderated by Prof. . Yassaa Noureddine , director of the EPST CDER, who presented an overview of research and development of EPST CDER . Professor Yassaa focused on the deployment of renewable energy in the country through its trading subsidiary ER2 ; Installation of nearly 2,000 solar kits and pumps operating with solar PV in several remote villages. In addition, the Director of CDER EPSTs announced preparations for the next Solar Atlas devoted to assessing deposits of renewable resources in Algeria following the great success of the first volume.
In the area of cooperation , Dr. Noureddine Yassaa announced the signing of several agreements with national and international institutions. The second plenary session was presented by the President of the SKTM SONELGAZ group, Mr C. In the same context CEO SKTM noted that some plants are in service.
Oral and poster communications around on the solar potential and wind, solar thermal, photovoltaics, biomass and hydrogen as well as energy control and the environment, have been conducted by researchers and Algerian academics.
Agreement signing
in another topic, the SIENR’14 has seen the signature of two scientific and technological, cooperation and partenership agreements.
The first one was signed between the EPST CDER and SKTM company from SONELGAZ group. This partenship is about R&D study works, the development and training to go with the Algerian Programme for New and Renewable Energies Development and Energy Efficiency.
The second agreement between the EPST CDER and the office of continuous training of the wilaya of Ghardaia on coaching and professional training.
Inauguration of the first mini solar photovoltaic power plant in Ghardaia
The SIENR’14 was also the occasion for Inauguration of the first mini solar photovoltaic power plant connected to a network using amorphous micro panels of 2. 28 kilowatts. This achievment is within research works of the Applied Researches on Renewable Energies Unit.
SIENR’14 Recommandations
At the end of the SIENR’14, presentations and debats held allowed the wome out with the following conclusions and recommandation, adopted by all participants :
