Signing of a collaboration agreement between UDES , CDER and Myah Tipaza

A collaboration agreement has been signed, Thursday, October 8th, 2014, between the Solar Equipment Development Unit from the Center for Renewable Energies Development, represented by the director of the UDES M. Belkacem Bouzidi and the director of the CDER M. Noureddine Yassaa, and the Myah Tipaza company, led by its CEO M. Serge Hebert. This agreement, with a real benifit for CDER researchers in Desalination, aims in short and medium term to the master of membranes technologies, the control of characteristics and performances of desalination systems and the feasibility study of functioning of the systems of desalination by the renewable energies according to the characteristics of the site of installation and the most prevailing energy potential. To face an unpredictable pluviometry and an unsufficiency of the water mobilization, the desalination of the sea water in Algeria showed itself as being a strategic solution for sustainable development. This necessary technology to insure the supply of drinking water to the population of the coastal cities, which are a very important part of the population, and seeing the fast increase in water demand both in the agriculture sector or industry, considered as priority for the Socio-economic development of the country.

Considering this problem and the fact that desalination processes are energy-guzzling, the Solar Equipment Development Unit, UDES of the Center for Renewable Energies Development, CDER, provides to research works in that field all necessary human and material means for its success and emergence.
