The CDER participates in the SIMA-SIPSA International Livestock and Agro-Equipment Fair 2017
The Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) took part in the interprofessional forum of vegetable crops organized under the high patronage of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries M. A. CHELGHOUM, from 10 to 13 October 2017, at the Exhibitions Center, Pins Maritimes (SAFEX) Algiers.
More than 600 exhibitors representing 45 countries and more than 18,000 professional entries took part in this 2017 edition. The SIPSA-SIMA has chosen Tunisia as a guest of honor for its dynamic and the quality of the fraternal and strategic relations of Tunisia with Algeria. The official opening was made by Mr. Kamel CHADI, General secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Mohamed Alioui, General secretary of the National Union of Algerian Peasants (UNPA), Dr. Amine Bensemmane President SIPSA-SIMA President of GRFI FILAHA INNOVE, accompanied by the guest of honor Mr. Abdelmadjid El Ferchichi, the Tunisian ambassador in Algiers and the General secretary of the Agency for the Promotion of Agricultural Investment "APIA".
After the opening ceremony, the delegation visited the exhibitors’ stands.
During the 04 days of the event, the CDER has been actively present by prototypes such as:
- A solar dryer for fruits, vegetables and garbage, to offer farmers an inexpensive solar drying model that can dry large quantities of products,
- A digester for the production of biogas from fermentable agricultural waste, whose objectives are the depollution of polluted areas and the energy recovery of organic waste and the mitigation of GHG emissions.
- A solar pumping system for irrigation, this photovoltaic pumping system used for pumping water intended for irrigation of farms.
- A banner on solar field maps in Algeria produced by the CDER.
- A banner on the Algerian wind farm map produced by the CDER.
- A banner on the cartography of the chemistry and temperature of thermal springs in Algeria.
This fair enabled the participants, notably the CDER, to respond to the problems of the agricultural sector, rural development and fisheries through innovative solutions proposed by the CDER in the field of the use of renewable energies.
CDER researchers exposed their prototypes, as well as the different actions carried out within the center as well as its pioneering role in the field of energy efficiency and transition in Algeria.
The event was attended by 03 speakers from the Renewable Energy Development Center, who gave three papers focusing on the use of Renewable Energy Sources and their contributions in different agricultural sectors. These speakers are:
- Dr Meryem SABER : Energy autonomy and sustainable development for farms and agribusiness.
- Dr Rabah SELLAMI : Contribution of solar drying to the development of agriculture and the agro-food sector in Algeria.
- Dr Yahia Bakelli : Solar pumping for the promotion of Saharan agriculture.
